Default Where Is Bay Area Ls1 Specialist ???

Does anybody have a suggestion on a good
performance shop for camaro's/LS1's in the bay area?

Specifically: Marin county, san rafael.

I'm looking for someone who is reliable in helping
fix/modify/repair my vehicle, someone who can
actually custom tune it to its greatest potential
If a specific LS1 tech isnt available then recommend
a good performance shop.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Sup Omar! How's that cobra of yours running? You shouldn't have sold that SS you had. I heard a lot of GOOD and BAD things about Synergy, but I would recommend Force Fed Performance, but that's in Sacramento

Default Thanks for help, but any in MARIN County!

thanks to all for the suggestions on places to go, unfortunatley they are all about an 1 hour drive away for me, but may be worth it if these are the best spots to go!

meanwhile if anyone knows of a closer spot to MARIN COUNTY / SAN RAFAEL
that would be ideal!!!

once again Im much appreciated to all!

I havent lived in Novato since 2002, but I think RPM may still be up in Santa Rosa. I know they did alot of truck stuff, and I ordered some parts for my TA from them as well.. Not sure of their phone # though

I took my 88 GTA up to RPM (Rohnert Park Machine, rpmeng.com) and they did a killer job. As far as I know there are no "speed shops" in Marin.
As a matter of fact, my current car is actually with them right now getting a bunch of stuff done. I get it back early next week.
I live in San Rafael also. If you see a black 2001 TA with silver-rimmed, black-centered Fikse FM-5's driving around, that'll be me...

Default still on the lookout!

thanks for the update,
rpm is a bit closer than synergy, I suppose that is going to be as close as I can get to some quality ls1 service, unless anyone else knows of a marin ls1 tech.
ill keep my eye out for the TA of Fikse wheels- fikse are fairly rare to see on any car in marin! im ridin the black 02 ss, slammed on z06 reps, slp center mount exhaust.
meanwhile Im still on the lookout for a good local.

thx

Hey guys ... interesting to see a post from San Rafael - my hometown. My brother lives in Novato and drives a Pewter/tan WS6 that just might have AL plates on it. Everybody knows there's no speed shop in Marin - it'd be too politically incorrect. Now if somebody opened a tuning shop that would help Priuses run even more green, they'd do a bang-up business.

As far as personal experience with these shops, I have none. I hear a lot of great things about Rick at Synergy and his tuning, never heard anything bad. If you go to norcal-ls1.com, you'll see he is active there and you'll want to make that one hour drive to have him tune your car.
