Default 98 TA Ram Air Hood

I have a 98 TA. Where can I get an inexpensive ram air hood and ram air setup? I am also considering a new intake. How much hp would that gain and how much would it cost? I am getting shorty headers and have catback exhaust and computer chip. What do you think???

Please do me a favor...dont get shorty headers...they suck. Get some Midlength or Longtube. Preferably longtube....pacesetters or some kooks. I have SLP headers and dont like them very much..

There is no such thing as a computer chip for an LS1...get a tune from one of the sponsors, you will gain way more power with a dyno tune and run alot safer.

Get an LS6 intake used in the For sale section run around 250-350 bucks good for around 8-12 rwhp.

Also get a Air Lid(good for 4-7 rwhp).

You may also buy a used hood/ram air setup from a car on here. Post in the Wanted section of the classifieds.

Hope I helped!

Welcome!

VFN also has hoods. Thats where Im picking up mine. I second the Lontubes as well. Unless you live in Cali, go for the Longtubes. Good luck w/ the mods

I hate to bust yur *****, but you cant chip these cars period. only 93's could be chipped, and if its one of those jet tuners or handheld thnigs, ditch it and get a real tune. shorty headers suck, bottom line. if youre not gonna do it right dont do it at all, go LT's
