Not sure what your talking about when you say torques???

But when you release the pedal, that just the deceleration. Its a little backfire

its not bad. when you let off the pedal, a little cold air get sucked back into your exhaust and makes a little backfire. Its normal. You have nothing to worry about

Good to see everyone not jump his *** about it though.

its not the cold air. Its the exhaust fuel popping in the exhaust. Its also known as afterfire, not backfire. Backfire is when the explosion goes foward through your intake mani. happens in nitrous cars when fuel puddles in the intake manifold. Car probably only does it when its cold because the cats haven't gone up to temp yet. other cars probably didn't do it because they didn't run as rich as the ls1 does.

Hey, i learn something new everyday. I thought it was the cold air going back into the exhaust and mixing with the hot air and causing the "afterfire". But, I guess thats my lesson for the day.

i hate it when my car has the loud smacking pop on decel. if i release the gas and let it ride down then lightly press the gas again itll make a "thunder" growl which sounds great.

As said already it's not backfire.

An engine is just a large piston air pump. If you could spin the motor over at say 2000rpm without it running it would still make a noise.

Air being sucked in, compressed in the combustion chambed and vented out via the exhaust. When down revving that is basically what is happening.

Yeah, sometimes I hear a "thug" sound underneath my car too. Usually happens after I run over a gangsta rapper. Obviously nothing to worry about!
