I am trying to sell a few items and I need help putting my pictures in the thread. I have my pictures on the computer in my pictures. where do I go from here.

Go to a site such as www.imageshack.us and upload them there. Then go to your images and it will have the code you need to cut and paste next to your photo (it will say for forums/sites/etc.) click on the 'for forums' code and cut and paste it into your ad. It should post the pic right in there for you.
