Newb Question....
Hello all, I am new here to ls1tech.com, and even to having an ls1... I just bought a 99 SS convt (pewter) and I LOVE IT!!! Heres my newb question.... i have searched the forums and havent found anything about the difference between an ls1 vette and an ls1 camaro... So why do the vettes claim to have 345 horses.. and ss camaros have 320... If its same motor... shouldnt it have the same numbers???
Thanks!
Thanks!

I *think*:
the corvette came with a different cam also + better flowing dual exhaust + the intake is better it`s got a bigger filter area and while speeding the air inters better because the desighn and location of it in front of the radiotor and the inlet toward the front airdam

IRS with a torque tube eat power compared to a SRA.
Basically these cars dyno about the same on average, the Vette's being a tad quicker on average due to their lower weight.

Just incase you cant see it... Its a dyno comparison of a 1998 Trans Am and 1998 Corvette...The TA rated at 305hp and 335tq The vette is rated at 345hp and 350tq. The TA put 292.8rwhp and 307.5rwtq. The vette put 285.6rwhp and 301.2rwtq. Both were M6.
