Default Old school tranny's

Hello all,
This is a pretty basic question. I searched for it in old posts but never found anything.
Anyway, will the old school transmissions fit a LS1 style block? Like a saginaw three speed, th400, etc or do i need to find/make an adapter?

Sorry new to the LS1s

Thanks,
B

I think I found my answer. Some one correct me if i am wrong...
Same bolt pattern, minus one hole which has a tab.
Also the bolts are metric.

sounds right, but you may want to check in the "automatic section" there are a ton of people running TH400, 350, 4l80e's and etc..

Ummm, a BOP th350 or 400 will not fit the ls-1 one without the purchase of an adapter plate.
