Default how much horsepower is my car making

Hi every one this is my first post. I just got a 98 trans am convertible with automaric. The previous owner insltalled an slp exhast (loud mouth) and the car has a ram air hood. The car sounds great and is pretty fast. I have a 79 trans am 4-speed and the 98 is light years ahead in speed.

How much horesepower is my car making with the hood and exhast. Also should i get a cold air intake for the car or since i have the ram air hood i dont need one?

auto stock are usually in the 280-290 rwhp stock. with the lm maybe 290ish hard to say. every car is differenct. the hood won't add power. maybe 1or 2hp at highway speeds.

a few good first mods wold be a lid, and maybe a tourque converter.

I would estimate about 300 rwhp, assuming the car has been well maintained and the tune is optimized. That catback is worth 10-12, that car bone stock pulled 280-290 rwhp.

That would be approximately 345 hp at the crank.

it all depends. my stock car on a conservative dyno read 287, but with another dyno and a lid and cutout i made 321. im going back to the first dyno to see how the a/f is on nitrous, but we'll make one n/a pull for reference

Your car is making more than 2 and less than 1000 HP at the rear tires.
