Default newbie questions, ls1/ls6 tb differences?

hello, i am considering a intake swap for my 2000 t/a convertible. i am thinking of getting a ls6 intake. i know theres much debate between, the fast and the ls6. but i don't intend on racing the car, and i still would like it to appear stock. so i think the ls6 should be fine. my question is about the throttle body though. is the ls1 tb different than a ls6? inferior, superior? if i were to do this upgrade, i would like to know, as i am not sure about this. was thinking about getting the tb ported and polished. last thing is this. how much increase in hp can i expect. new lid, fernco mod. ported and polished tb. tb coolant bypass, and the ls6 intake.does 25-40 sound about right. the car is all stock right now. was planning on this first, then possibly going with the bassani true dual set-up. my planning is going by extensive research on this site. i would appreciate any opions or suggestions before i make any purchases. thank you, for you input!!!!!!!!!

tb's are the same.....only difference can come in the years...a 01-02 tb has a different cable flange....compared to the older ones...and it wont work unless you do some adjusting....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the Corvette LS1 had throttle by wire, wouldn't the LS6 too?

Fernco mod - useless aside from aesthetics. TB Bypass - pretty much useless as well. Porting the stock TB is a good mod. Your biggest gain would be from a lid and the LS6 intake. I'd say 20 HP from both of those. Since you have a stock exhaust right now, it's probably not going to be as big of a gain as you expected.
