jacking up the axel

Default jacking up the axel
I need to jack up my rear end but the bump stops get caught on my wheels. Would it hurt to jack up on the axel and put some jack stands on it? I'm not sure so i thought i would get a opinion.

stick the jack right under the pumpkin and jack up from there then you can put two jack stands on each side of the housing.
