my engine is shaking?
my engine shakes is that normal for ls1's? i didnt think anything of it but when i went to my oil changer and he saw my engine bay while my car was on and on [P]ark he said that it should be smooth and not "shakey". my car is a 98trans am and is 53,045 miles old. what do you guys think?

agree about the video. you might want to do that. semantics are funny like that. my "shakes alittle" could be different then your "shakes alittle" though i will say when i first bought my LS1 i was very surprised to see how much the engine shook. so who knows.

Well al I can say is that when i have my LT1 camaro, it shook pretty good at idle. I loved it when people would ride in my car and see their head bobbin a little bit. Now that I have me LS1, it shakes 10x more! I love it. To me, its not a muscle car unless it shakes.

Mine shakes like a virgin on a date with Ron Jeremy!
seriously though, an I6 is naturally balanced in motion, a V8 is not. A V8 will "quivver" a bit compared to I6's and V12's (both of which are naturally balanced in motion).

The best part about my GTO was that the whole car would shake just barely noticably while sitting at a traffic light. I loved it. Anyone else get that with their f-body?
