Default Is a lid really worth the money?

IMO a lid would make much more sense than the stock one which includes the the different air baffles and what not that slows down the airflow. But is it really a noticeable gain.? Also anyone know where a clear one can be purchased, had trouble finding any.
Thanks

I did a lid and loudmouth catback on my car and dropped 3 tenths in the 1/4 mile and gained 3 MPH. That's a solid 30 HP. Well worth it in my opinion.

A lid is most definitely worth the money. Hell, i'm pretty sure it's still the cheapest bolt on (save for a cutout) that you can get.

When i traded in my '02 ws6 i took the TSP lid off and sold it to a buddy. While driving to the dealership to trade it in i could tell the car was noticeably slower.

Of course. Free ram air is NOT something you would do in place of a lid, it would be an additional mod.

A lid is dyno proven to give an average gain of 10rwhp on an otherwise stock/bolt-on car. It's the best simple mod you can do. There is no downside, it's cheap, and the power gained per dollar spent ratio is very good.
