Default Lower Performance At High Miles?

Just wondering but, I have a 2000 WS6 and am about to hit 32k miles (I know that's no where near high) but has anyone noticed loss in performance when they get higher in miles? And are you helping anything by not driving the car hard? Because I know with a rotary engine (I know this isn't an LS1 ha) but I heard they are meant to be driven hard. So what's the best way to drive the car?
Thanks
Nic

Like you stole it

Seriously though, keep the fluids changed and it'll take quite a few miles before you'll see any noticable drop in power

The easier you are on it the better it will last, although it is ment to be drivin hard I wouldnt recomend doing it EVERYTIME you drive the car. Not only does it put more wear on your engine it also puts more strain on your tranny and rear end. Just be smart and use common sense and it should be good well over 100K

I concur...the LS1 will go for well over 100k before any loss in performance most of the time, as long as you maintain/check all the fluids and do all the the routine maintenance religiously...they are very stout motors...

I doubt you will see any performance loss for a LONG LONG time if you only have 32K. I will be at 132K in a year or so and it feels like it came off the showroom floor 6 months ago.

My 98 TA A4 2.73 with 102k will still turn 13.23 @ 102.5, just a lid and a converter. No drop in performance here. No rattles, ticking, oil use or anything bad. With only 32k you are good to go for a long time, if it doesnt sludge up from sitting around. DRIVE IT!!!!!!!

140K here and I've trapped nearly 111 MPH with a lid, catback, and 4.10's. If anything, I think they pick UP in performance as they get older.

Yeah you don't have much to worry about for a long time. It's good for most engines to be driven hard every once in a while. Just do basic maintenance and you'll be fine.

Dynoed last spring
300 RWHP and 322 RWTQ on a Dynapack at 109K miles
And it still has the original clutch.
I've owned the car since new and she might of lost a few HP but not enough to really notice. Some new valvesprings should wake her back up easily.

Hmmm Craig, your car is only a few months newer than mine. I wonder how many they made of mine.
