Default SLP lid question

My slp lid has a whole on the driver side. its about an inch in diameter. my guess is a line went from there to something emissions related. anyways im not throwing a code and ive got the hole blocked off. my question is...is there anything to gain by having this(whatever was supposed to be there) hooked up?

its for the airpump, I deleted mine and used a piece of duct tape to cover the hole for now. Its just temporary, I'm trying to get my hands on a TSP lid.

It's for the AIR system. There is a black hose running along the top of the fender that goes down to the air pump inside the front fender and then on to the lid. If you don't have that hose then your AIR system has probably been removed/deleted.

What to do with the hanging hose if you're not deleting AIR?
