Default 241 head

i have a 00 camaro with 241 heads stock. does that also mean i have the ls6 intake manifold or just that the heads are newer?

No, you have just the heads. Some of the late '00 cars got the 241 heads (mine did as well), but you still received the same LS1 intake stock as the other '98-'00 cars.

how could i tell externally if my car came with those heads. its a 2000

On the head (usually passenger side) there is a section that has '241' cast in it, it'll probably be covered by your EGR though.

If you have an EGR valve, then you have an LS1 intake. The 01-02 cars came with the LS6 intake and no EGR valve.

Is there a tube going into the top of your intake right behind the throttle body? If so, that's for the EGR. That tube will be running to a valve that bolts to the passenger side head, then has another tube running from the valve to the passenger side exhaust manifold.

you do at least put 93 octane in your car right?
