Question regarding possible selling of SS
I am considering parting ways with my 2002 Camaro SS,
What I am wondering is should I remove the mods that are on the car and go back to stock, or would it sell faster with the modifications on it.
Here is a list of what the car had stock and current mods. Let me know what you guys think.
Stock, 2002 SS #2667
SLP Auburn High Torque, Performance Diff. ,
AAM Diff Cover
SLP Bilstein Ultra Performance Suspension System,
SLP Center Mounted Performance Exhaust System,
SLP Cold Air Kit
Mods
Cam Lift .591 .569
Duration 230 226
Lobe separation 112 with 4 degrees advance
Custom Tune,
Fast Tech Headers
Off Road Y Pipe
UMI Bolt on Sub-Frame Connectors
Corvette Brakes & Slotted Rotors
UMI Panhard Bar
200 Mph White Face Gauges
etc...
Let me know what you guys think,
Gary

that's gonna be a hell of a job to undo all those mods lol. but yeah, as far as price goes, when i was looking for my car online last year i was amazed that stock cars were selling for more than cars with cams/lt's/nitrous etc. i guess it's the mentality that a car with mods must've been raced and abused. you might have better luck taking off as many after market parts as you can and then just selling the parts separately from the car.

Those mods aren't the easiest just to remove. If you didn't install the cam yourself its going to cost the cams worth practically to have it removed and sell it... And used exhaust generally brings about 1/2 to 2/3's of its value when re-sold so really thats the only major thing you could sell aside from the panhard bar and brakes if you want to part them out. I'd try to sell it as is and if you don't get any luck, then part it. Generally stock cars sell better to the avg buyer, but if you can find someone looking for a car that would end up putting that stuff on himself he may pay extra for it.
Good luck

id put the stock gauges back in...just a personal thing...if you know how to take the cam out, do that, but you could leave the rest of that stuff.
