What's wrong with my 99 SS??

What's wrong with my 99 SS?? Ok I've noticed this problem for about 3-5 months now. Everytime I race my car I can feel something in my petal and I can also hear it...This always happens when its almost at redline...It kinda sounds like electricity..hMm...Do you think its detonation? I've changed my spark plugs over the summer with NGK TR55's....My friend who has a 00 Trans Am said he feels the same thing and he has the same spark plugs as me...What do you guys think this could be? I think it might be robbing a little bit of my HP...HELP

Can you scan it or run the car and make a log file.
I never heard of anything close to this issue. Can you describe it a differnt way.
Taken it to a mechanic?

Its really hard for me to put into words 
HmM..I know it feels like it's not running right near readline...I remember changing 6 push rods because they were bent...Maybe I should get new spark plug wires. I still have the stock wires...I haven't brought it to a mechanic since I've had the car. That was back in '03...SOMETHING just doesn't quite feel right. This always happens at about 5000-5200rpms....I change my oil every 3000mi....I did have a service engine light on and I found out it was that catalys efficiency, but the light turned off about 3 days later..

AJ.....you need to find somebody in the bay that has hp tuners or something similar. They can hook it up to your car and get some info and see whats going on at those exact RPM's
