Buying A used T/A.
I'm going to look at one in Austin on Sunday, and I was wondering what I should look for? I know a few things, like the rear making funny noises when accelerating, generally cleanliness a few others that are common sense. I already ran a carfax and it came up clean, but not every shop reports to carfax. Thanks in advance for any advice.

oil leaks around oil pan/trans pan/ rear end cover/ shocks front/back, wheel bearing from behind wheels, glitter on oil dip stick and how clean is it. wear on brake pedal/clutch pads- wear u press with your foot. should tell you if its highway mileage or block to block. example high mileage low wear usually means highway use/ low mileage padel wear street use. doors close with ease. body gaps all even around vehicle. engine light "ses" or "check eng soon" light on. paint match with front/rear bumpers and all around car. check weather stripping for signs of it been removed and ask way if it looks like it has. be very meticulous about it. hope this all helps.

if it has t-tops take it thru a car wash and see if it has any leaks. Also look at the air filter to see how dirty it is- good indication of maintence done to the car if it is a private seller. If it isa auto check tranny fluid level and color of fluid.
