whisper or slp im trying to decide wich air lid to get slp or whisper.the slp goes right on but the whisper requiers another filter.could someone tell me were exacly this goes ,does it do away with the k&n or does it go some were else,also wich one do you think is better,if you have any pics thet would be great.this will be the first mod to my car

Any Lid is a good lid. They all give you basically the same amount of power. Get the cheaper one, which would be the SLP. The other filter you talk about is a breather filter.

I like Whisper better. They have a rubber gasket/seal between the lid neck and the MAF, unlike SLP. And I prefer the shiny look.
I've had 2 Whisper Lids on 3 different LS1 cars over the last 8 years. They've always fit perfect and held up great.

I went with Whisper because it was in stock at the time. All of them are the same; can't go wrong either way.
If you do away with the AIR system you won't have to worry about the breather.

MTI were the ones who actually invented the LS1 Air Lid.
Its all a matter of people's different opinions.
