Default shifter noise

hey guys,

i have had my trans am for about three monthes and lately my shifter has began to shift a little on the sluggish side and is making an accessive amount of noise. Is this normal or does it need to be fixed? if so what needs to be done? If anyone could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it.

First thought are throw out bearings. Check those first since it seems you still have all gears engaging.
Second (while you are in there) bushings will cause an inordant amount of noise.
