Default Wheel Cleaner Turned My Rotors Black

I put a new set of zinc coated drilled and slotted rotors this weekend. Yesterday I was washing the car and sprayed some wheel clener on the wheels and some sprayed on the rotors. The overspray turned the turned black. Has anybody else had a problem with using wheel cleaner and zinc rotors?

I have not heard of this before, but it is posible the cleaner collected the brake dust and looked black. Did you spray the rotors off with water, and did they come clean or stay black? If it doesnt want to wash off the rotors next time just use soap and water, thats what I use.
