then that would make formula ws6's the lightest birds?

so would the hood latch be a lil easer on the hood? when you open it?

i have a z28 and i got a sunoco hood and it seams like when i pull the hood release it pops up hard, and i was thinking maby the ws6 or ss hoods had a diff latch

Yes, they are fiberglass. Our cars are all glass/plastic except for the rear fenders.

I have one, it likes to shake a little on highway speeds and vibrates when idling. i like it, and its really, really light.

Yep, use a magnet and try to see where it will stick. Rear fenders are steel.

Maybe, a stripper base Formula will probably still come out lighter. 16x8's compared to 17x9's are quite a bit of difference.

Look at the back of the hood (by the window) see if it hits there... My hood does that but i am getting a new hood so ya.. Just if it is hitting i suggest getting it realigned or the hood will crack cause of the stress on it

3540 with 3/4 tank of gas IS NOT! a lot when you step back and look at how big my WS6 is physically.

I recently got a ram air hood for my TA. it is fiberglass and weighs a lot less compared to the original hood on my TA. if my fiberglass ws6-style hood weighs less than the stock hood, then what was the stock hood made out of?
