Y pipes on 98-02 Camaros Ok, im sorry I have no idea where to put this question, but I need a new y pipe and a guy with a 2002 Camaro has one for sale...is that the same one as my 98 or are they different? Please let me know!!!! I thought they were the same but someone told me their different.

The 98 y is different from 02. In 98 the cat is located under the passenger, rather than both Cats under the block with the 02.
They do not mate up if you are working around your cats. If you are running shorties with a mid pipe then you should be fine with a little work from the exhaust shop.

Wished General Motors would have got up off their *** & removed that ****** hump in the floor pan around the passengers feet on my 02 Vert. What a really piece of **** engineering that was especially since it didn't HAVE to be there due to moving the cats up next to the block. I know , I know the ******* bean-counters saw where they could save .15 cents per vehicle & said to themselves, "screw them red neck Camaro owners they don't deserve the best we can give them!"
