The 98 y is different from 02. In 98 the cat is located under the passenger, rather than both Cats under the block with the 02.

They do not mate up if you are working around your cats. If you are running shorties with a mid pipe then you should be fine with a little work from the exhaust shop.

Wished General Motors would have got up off their *** & removed that ****** hump in the floor pan around the passengers feet on my 02 Vert. What a really piece of **** engineering that was especially since it didn't HAVE to be there due to moving the cats up next to the block. I know , I know the ******* bean-counters saw where they could save .15 cents per vehicle & said to themselves, "screw them red neck Camaro owners they don't deserve the best we can give them!"

i've got a 2000 and a 1999 camaro, they both have different y-pipe configurations. in my opinion the 2000 y-pipe is a hell of alot easier to remove and replace.

May I ask why you need a new one?
