Default Lights Flickering

I just got my 2001 Camaro SS and notice at night while I'm driving all the lights flicker even the dash just enough to notice. I used my volt meter to check the battery I get 12v. I started my car and and check again and I'm getting about a little over 13.5. I check the battery connections all tight and clean. I check also the ground one on the battery side and another on driver side all look good. I ntoice a few people or having this issue. Could it still be the alternator even if it's charging?

I don't know if this is your problem but I remember when I bought my car I would go over bumps and my lights would come on and off inside? I figured out that it was my trunk that was open and I geuss these car don't have a light for when your trunk is open I still feel dumb because I didnt notice it for like 2 weeks lol.

Read the voltage on AC. if you get any AC current the regulator inside the alternator is bad. The ac current is getting through and causing your lights to flicker.

Default alternator

Well it was the alternator. Replaced it light are not flickering anymore. But I have another problem now. While I was replacing the alternator I had to move the tranmission cooler lines just a little now I have a leak I can not see where it's coming from But my guess it's where the lines hookup to the tranmission. Is this a costly repair if I bring it to a shop?

The only time my lights would dim and come back up is when my cooling fans kick on... anyone else notice this? Happens on the highway as well... its not a flicker, just they dim for a second then come back.

I checked the alternator at auto zone . Said it was good ? My lights still flicker and I did a code scan on it and it brought up misfires and a shortage ? Could it be a ground by the alternator ?? Plz help

I had this happen a year after getting the hawk in 05 with just 300 miles on the od. Lights flickered maybe 3 times in a 30 day period. Did that Big 3 upgrade shortly after that and never happened again.

Guys, had the same issue and checked all my grounds under hood. Cleaned them up and fixed the issue.
