Default no o2 on bank 2??????

ok apperently my 99 m6 camaro when it had the off road y installed the previous owner did'nt think it was important to have the passenger side 02 sensor put back on. so my question is since the car has been tuned with no o2 on that side will i have to get it tuned again after i weld in a new 02 bung and install the new 02 sensor i have. o and the car ran good a slight miss in the low rpms but nothing bad.

they had an open loop speed density tune in it. and if you had it retuned with inop. 02s then thats what you have. it will have to be retuned to return to closed loop fuel control.

There are 4 O2 on an F body.. 2 Front O2's which are located before the Cats or on the manifold or header collectors are needed for Closed loop operation or else it will stay in open loop and probably run like crap.

Rear O2, which are after the Cats and on the y pipe farther back, only monitor the function of the Cats to tell the PCM when one is going bad.

which is missing front or rear?

Its common to remove the rear O2s as they have no bearing on how the engine is running and can be tuned out. front O2's though are needed for fueling in Closed loop.

Default rear o2 sensor

i'm at that point now with my exhaust. Got headers on last night going to do TSP catted Y tonight. If I don't need the rear O2 sensors do I need the sim I've seen on here for the PCM to see it?

it has the passenger side front o2 missing the rears are removed and it has been tuned. the car runs fine just a slight miss at ideal-1700 rpms everything else is smooth as silk and it only miss's one in a while
