Default Couple of LS1 questions

Just picked up a '98 T/A and was wondering if there were any problems with the '98 model motors. I know that the wiring, PCM and heads are different than the 99+. Would it be beneficial to me to put a set of 99+ heads on the car and upgrade the harness/PCM to 99+ as well?

If you are going to put new heads on your ride on an extreme budget, go with patriot LS6 heads for under $500. 20-30rwhp right there. And no a newer PCM will not get you any power
