Default Why remove the EGR?

Whats the benefit of removing the EGR? Is it worth removing if you need it for emmisions testing.

egr is exhaust gas recirculation, it basically takes unburned HOT dirty *** gases from your exhaust manifold and circulates it back into your intake which is not good performance wise, you want clean cold air going into your intake

Takes a couple pounds away, cleans up the look under the hood, and above mentioned.
