Default Electric H2O pump keeps running.............

My electric H2O pump keeps running after I shut the car off, draining the battery. When I pull the connector apart, of course it stops. I've checked all the wiring and there is are no bad spots where the outer covering is worn and could be touching any metal.
Any ideas................?

That is how it is hooked up. Pardon my ignorance on this, but is it possible a bad fuse could be the culprit, which keeps the circuit open?

I dont know how you have the control circut wired, but I doubt it. get a friend with a test light to help you trace the power source beck to the battery or relay. A good stereo shop could hook you up with a better power source and relay

dude...go to ls1howto.com and do the relay option. I got the relay from the auto parts store and wired it in as on the ls1howto.com site. Took 30 min and is easy. OR leave it like you got it....at least your engine will ALWAYS stay cool...lol

Sounds like it is wired directly to hot instead of only when the ignition is on. What wire did you splice into?
