what year did they start putting the ls1's in the cobras...05?? just wondering, get back at me

Yes. The Musttang Cobra started gettting the LS1 in '05.

If anyone tells you different, they are making fun of you and are just kidding. Don't believe them.

ok just making sure because i out ran my friends 05 cobra with what i figured was an ls1 in my 99 cougar

Yes the 2005 and later Mustang models did infact come with an LS1 engine.

I'm in.....the LS1 Cougars ripped man! I never could understand how they managed to put down all that power in a FWD car with those tiny axles.

similar situation happened to me.. i was racing my twinkie beside a frosted donut, and i swear I think it had ranch dressing in it.. blew me away! at least 3 twinkie's ahead of me.

of course, you probably opted for the LS9 in the cougar, its only available on the "Type R's " though... probably imported straight from japan... right hand drive or did you convert it?
