I paid like 55 bucks a little while back from a guy who's no longer a sponsor (I don't think). He did do an awesome job though. Can't really tell you much about the performance difference as I did an LS6 intake at the same time and felt good gains across the board.

There's a definite improvement in throttle response. Best mod I've done so far (not saying that much since I'm not heavily modded). However, for $60 it's worth every penny and then some. If you think a lid is a worthwhile mod, then you should definitely have a ported throttle body.

$0.00

Did it myself.

Throttle response seemed a little crisper, but unable to quantify with before/after dyno runs.

If you have a dremel just do it yourself. Shouldn't take more than 2 hours.

Did mine myself, ported, polished, and ground the bump stop. Cost me about $10 for the flap wheels I used on my die grinder. There was a definite improvement in throttle reponsiveness. There was probably a HP gain, but not enough that you'd be able to tell. Dynos have shown 4-6HP gains.

did mine myself also just dont grind where the throttle blade seals to the body you can have problems if so. do remove the some of the bump stop so that the blade opens at a complete 90,also you can epoxy the egr holes for better flow also

I don't remember what I paid, but I did notice a faster rev and throttle response. Smokin87TA did mine. Top notch work.

I've never heard that much. Usually I see 2-3whp gains with LS6 intakes. I wouldn't do it for the whp myself though. The throttle response alone would be worth it.

Throttle Body porting is a nice free mod, and is worth it if you have the time. If you are going to dish out money, well....just save up and get a ported 90/90 afrom Ron at Vengenance and be done with it.
