Default Seafoam threw SES light

I just seafoamed my car and it threw the SES light on. It won't go off now and I don't know what to do. I thought it would go off cuz the car was idling like **** at first but once I burned all the crap out it runs fine but the damn light is still on.

What do I do to find out what's throwing the light on and how do I turn it off.

Dealership will probably charge you - places like auto zone will read/clear it free. You can also reset the PCM yourself by disconnecting the battery for a while - or pulling the PCM IGN and PCM BATT fuses procedure.

If you really dont have a problem and the seafoam set it off from running rough with a vac line off with liquid in it, it should go out on its own after a certain amount of drive cycles (i cant remember how many). If it doesn't go off soon then take it to a dealership, although they will charge you. Autozone does it for free, if you have them where you are. Some places sell scanners real cheap maybe look into buying one for yourself.

Yeah why would you go to the dealer? They usually charge to have the car looked at. Autozone, Kragen, NAPA will do it for free. Then come back on here and let us know what it is.

you can get it checked at autozone, but last time i went they would not reset the code for me, i frigign bought the replacement o2 there, changed it out, and they wouldnt reset it. after about a week and a half , say about 300 miles the light went out on its own.

I went there and had it checked. He said multiple misfires. So I bought new plugs but when I got back in the car the light was out. I don't know if he reset it or it went out by itself. I have this feeling it went out by it self cuz it runs fine, but I'm still gunna change the plugs because I've driven the car 15k and don't know the last time they've been changed by the people who owned it before me.

You probably crapped out an o2 sensor. They tell you to use a set of old o2's or possibly risk replacing your stockers after sea foaming.

I've had misfire codes too from using seafoam. Just reset the pcm and you'll be fine. I do seafoam treatments before every oil change and have never fouled a plug. Of anything it cleans them.

Seafoam burns the carbon off the top of your valves to make a ton of smoke... wouldnt doubt it fucked some **** up.
