Ok so i went and test drove this trans am http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=11
and i got a carfax on it and it was saying that it failed emissions twice last year. is this something i should be worried about?

Mine was going to fail because holes in the exhaust. It could be little as that.

im probally going to get a new exhaust set up on it if i do get it. i just hope its not something else

emissions, i hate that word. but its prolly exhaust like you think. just find someone to pass you, a friend or something

Did it end up passing emissions? If you really want the car you should print off the carfax report and talk to the salesman about that and see if they will take it to the pontiac dealership and get them to check it out. Good luck!

well the thing is it did pass but im curious if it was just a quick fix or niot. im going to the dealership tomorrow and im bringing the carfax with. maybe i could talk him down some more

Cars can fail for numerous reasons. Sometimes people fail to get it hot enough before using the sniffer....etc. I would use it as a negotiating point.
