What is the danger mileage range for an LS1?
Given the power of these cars, and how they're usually driven, how many miles is too many? My V6 has 117ish on it right now. And it's been driven hard since new, but the car seems to really like the abuse.
I don't mind automatics, but I had to rebuild the 4L60E in my car and I'm still having problems with it. Are the 4L60Es problematic in the LS1 cars at all?
Anything else I should consider when purchasing an LS1 fbody? I'm going down to the states next year and buying my dream T/A, should be fun

try to search around, there are tons of threads like this. The LS1 drivetrain is built great, will go 200k + miles with the proper care for the most part. There isn't a real definitive answer to your question though.
i mean there have been cases where low mile cars that were taken proper care of have suffered uncommon failures with the oil pump, head gaskets, bearing, fuel pump, etc. Meanwhile other engines (not just ls1s) will go as long as they are designed to.

Most newer cars can go 200,000 plus miles if taken care of. I've had new cars puke their guts with less than 100 miles but I've driven 150-200,000 miles on many different makes and models with little expense. The auto trans can last a long time if the fluid and filter are changed regularly. That's not to say you can't take one out in a day if you abuse it. The weakest part on these is the reverse. Take it easy on the reverse and it's pretty durable.
