Arrow CRT throttle body vs. Ported stock TB

Hey guys i want to get my stock throttle body ported but i was looking at this 80mm for $146 shipped to my door seems like a good deal. Will i have to port my stock 99 ls1 intake to put this on or will it flow good like do i need to file away excess material for it to flow better. And how much power should i gain over the ported factory tb.

I would just run a ported stocker, you will see very very little gains over the stocker with the tb you posted. In the pic it looks like it has a plate that goes behind the tb to the intake to neck it down I imagine. Ported stocker is cheaper anyway.

Just port the stock one. Not worth it for the 80mm IMO.

hay i wanna buy that same crt tb, the only reason cuz imma bit worried to get a ported tb there is a few people i heard of idle issues, and people who epoxy them, some people claim they found epoxy in the runners of the intake, but i know many peole run the ported ones with no prob but i dont know it still worries me a bit! i wanna do it myself but jus not to sure how far to go when i port it, i dont wanna mak a hole in the tb

Just helped another guy with the same thing. Just get it ported here at new era. you will see the same gains IMO and you know that your TB is good quality. Save up and eventually get the FAST intake and Nick Williams 90mm TB.

Let me add that the ebay one looks like garbage. Sorry, thats what I came up with after looking at it. the design just doesnt look right. Hey it might be good, but I would steer clear.
