Default Patience pays off/spelling bee

I just found out that I have a stock ported TB. From my questions and calls I believe it was done by LS1speed.com, I also inquired about the TB and asked the same questions and they couldnt even answer me!!!???

1. What is the maximum HP it can handle.

2. Is a stock ported TB even worth a #$%^

3. If I need a new TB after a certian HP what would you say would be good.

As far as induction and max HP I plan on having no more than a nice size cam and maybe some juice running here within 2-3 months. So depending on brand and size will determine my HP of course. Yes it is my daily driver and the car is a 02 WS6 M6.

And for the flamers I checked my spelling this time and hope its perfect for you so you can read it clearly if not then go to another post and cry over there.

Thanks for your time guys and support!!

Zach

LMAO I love the title. That's really funny.

From what I have read so far, most people suggest porting the stock TB over buying another ported TB. It should compliment your other mods very well.

Apparently if you want to upgrade, most people upgrade to a 90mm TB when they get a FAST 90/90 intake.

i dont think anyone would recommend an aftermarket TB over a ported stocker with the exception, obviously, if you are going to a 90mm setup.

seen low 400's N/A with ported tb/ls6 intake setups.. most ppl upgrade to 90/90 setups at that point though.

if you were going to stay ported stock tb/ls6 intake i'd suggest a reverse split cam to take advantage of your free flowing exhaust. something around 230/224 would be good.

1. The stocker should work well up to 450 with no work done to it at all.
2. What is bling worth? It is in the eye of the beholder.
3. The GM 90mm.
Great job on that spelling What a Rush! How about a little work on that punctuation now?
