how to cut rad. support for free ram air??

Default how to cut rad. support for free ram air??

well on installuniversitys the pic just shows the top being cut and leaving the center tab. but on the gmht mag how to's its cut a lot.

which way should it be

It's up to you. I did it the install university way and my air filter gets dirty fast enough with that smaller slit. I'm sure the gmhtp way lets in more air but you gotta realize it also lets in more dirt and steals more cool air from your radiator, not even sure if it would matter a lot but it might?

unless you'll be doing 180+mph it's a worthless mod.

Just take out the shield completely and keep it off. I did and my iat's went down on average of 20-30 degrees. The car ran cooler too and that's in the middle of summer at idle and moving.

why you say that the stock air box to me looks like it has very little air flow. that would help "alot" at normal driving. but yea your filter getts dirty real fast real quick..

IDK if i would do that. I know some one that just took out the whole shield all together and yea he ran cool but one day it rained hard and guess wat? BOOM BITCH sucked up water...
But then again if your cutting out as much as possible it still will suck up water so idk..

i just did it the way installuniversity's is....i wouldnt see where cutting off the tab would help much
