241 heads are for LS1?

241 heads are for LS1?

My heads on my 2002 A4 Z28 have the #241 written on them. Is this the stock heads for the LS1 in 2002?

i have a 00' t/a ws.6 m6, i dont see the 241 # anywhere, on the heads. the only 3 digit number i see on the heads is 853. where would i have to look for the 241, thanks

you cant look on your heads and see a 241 because you have 853 castings on your car.

If I'm not mistaken the 241's started appearing late in 2000, so not all 2K cars got them.

Yes, only very late build date '00 cars got the 241s. Otherwise, '98 received 806, '99-'00 received 853, and '01+ received 241.

dont mean to get off topic, but is there a flow difference between the 2 heads??? The 241 castings and the 853 castings? I know the 243/ls6 castings flow much better, but what about between the other 2?
