My front end started feeling light about 145 and I backed off at 150. Damn worn out Decarbons. I needed to get the blood flowing back through my fingertips anyways. When my Strano stuff comes in the next couple weeks (package IV) I'll probably give it another try just to see what kind of difference it makes. Be sure to let you know.

I agree that any good road with 1 to 1 1/2 miles will work I have always used the interstate at like 3-4 am for my fix. Its usually when a really good street race breaks out and they are so even that you want to go till someone starts to pull. The big run in my TA was against a friends Evo on the bottle.

I easily brought to 170mph off a stock cam with LS6 intake + true duals,
With a TR224, I tried pushing 180mph but the suspension doesn't give you much confidence after 150 in all honesty... too floaty for my tastes.

Damn. I had a '95 Z28 A4 with just a Dynomax muffler and 3.73 gears and I had mine topped out at like 155 or so. Never again would I get a damn 4 spd. f-body that fast lol. It was redlining pretty good lol.

Now there are three possibilities that might have caused you to not have the cars fuel cut off at 118ish with non Z rated tires.
1). A previous owner replaced the original Z rated tires with non Z rated tires.
2). Someone with ls1edit, hp tuners, ect changed the factory setting (maybe a previous owner, performance shop employee, ect).
3). GM made a mistake and accidentally gave the car either the wrong tires or the wrong tune before it left the factory.
It has to be one of those.

my car isnt a ws6 and the door sticker doesnt have Z rated tires listed, but a previous owner could have removed it i guess i just didnt really think so with it being bone stock when i bought it

Once the original tires started going bald the previous owner might have just bought the cheapest tire they could find that would fit the rims regardless of speed rating. Maybe they never went over 80 mph and didn't care about speed ratings.
I'll bet Bryan04h is right about the Walmart tire special

it has shitty *** kumo's on it now, if my door sticker doesnt say Z then they prob didnt come with them, and my car only has 60k so its PROB the second set but who knows, and i meant someone could have possibly removed the top speed limiter with a hypertech or something
