Absolutely! It's best to do the LS6 pump with ANY aftermarket cam, and the MS3 is especially large. The pump will be exposed when you swap the cam anyhow though. It's generally accepted that the oil pump is a supporting mod for a cam swap.

plan on dropping the oil pan down some to get to the pick up bolt

Im running the LS6 pump on mine, every LS1 fbody should put in the LS6 pump!!!!!!
