Default Which Cam to get?

I have a 1999 Trans Am with Pacesetter LT's, an a Ypipe with SLP cats and a Hooker catback. Im going to get a LS6 intake. Im going to get a cam but dont know which one to get. I want a big one like the MS3 or MS4. Any info would be helpful. I want as much power as possible. But its going to be a daily driver also. Thanks for the help

Really big cams become high maintenance. In some cases you will have to replace valve springs every 20,000 miles or so and that is a pain in the rear. Also, bigger cams do make more PEAK HP/Tourqe, but you will likely lose A LOT at lower RPMS. It is all up to your personal preference. I have a mid-range cam (224/224 112LSA). It makes decent power, 375/375 at the wheels, but where it really pays off is in the torque curve. I am making over 300lb/ft of torque at 2000 RPM all the way through redline. Great for a daily driver cause you don't need a lot of RPMs to make power. Its not too harsh on the valvetrain either. These are just things to consider. If you want a huge cam GO FOR IT! Doing the install yourself?

No, im going to get a performance shop here in Anchorage to do the cam swap for me. I guess it doesnt have to be a Huge cam. But it also has to be a good daily driver cam aswell with lots of power. If thats posible lol.

if you want a daily driver I would suggest a ms3 over the ms4. With my auto it needed a dyno tune to run right. Your m6 might be better with the mail order tune. I good set of heads really help it out too if you are looking for those hp numbers.
