Yep stock was 3.42. Make sure no one changed them, my door code says GU2 but changed to 3.42. Check out a gear/MPH calculator like www.f-body.org/gears/

Basically, having 4.10's will probably net you a faster ET, but depending on how much power you are pushing, you may have to shift into 5th by the end of the 1/4 mile, and that will definatly hurt both your time and MPH. Something to think about.
Personally, I judge what gears would be good based upon the RWHP level of the car. 4.10's are great if you are staying N/A with some bolt ons and no motor work. However with even upgrading the heads and cam, you might want to think about going with a 3.73 or smaller for traction reasons.
