You'll need springs, too. But, $50 bucks for a cam isn't bad. What's bad is doing all the work to put in a cam that you're going to be disappointed with quickly. Better cams out there that will still give stock idle (if that's what you'r looking for). Try to used parts section for cams for sale. A nice 224 cam would be better.

I think it is a good cam.You will need ls6 valvesprings $50-$60, 7.400 Pushrods $80-$100. I would do a ls2 oil pump and maybe a pulley if you were going to put in the cam. It is a top end cam and you will not feel the power till 4000-6500 rpm. The good thing is you will not need to change springs every 30k-40k.Ive seen dyno sheets on A4 cars getting 20-26 horspower but not alot of torque. Ther was a guy i knew that had boltons, 3500 stall, 3.73 and tires and went 12.0-12.2 in the 1/4 with 112 et.

Yep. It's a cam that should have come stock, but not worth it unless you have access to free parts. A stealth, Old-Man, or CheatR cam would be better choices if you want to retain a stock-ish idle.

For the money and lack on need for tuning? I'd say yes it's worth it on two conditions
1) you can do all the work yourself and don't have to pay somebody
2) you don't mind doing the work for not much gain

If you want to run it on the stock tune, then yes it would be worth it. You probably wont get more than 15 rwhp out of it (depending on your current mods), but you will be able to run it on the stock tune without much of a problem. If your going to have the car tune then get a different cam as the gains you will see from the ls6 cam will be pretty mild.

I'm tuned now, but getting a new one wouldnt be an issue... I want the car to idle as stockish as possible. Doesnt need to sound stock (i'd actually prefer a tiny bit of lope), but I dont want it to be like the one in my truck at idle. Hmm.... decisions decisions
