There are 4 O2 sensors, 2 pre-cat and 2 after-cat, Bank one is on the left side.

If you're stock you have four. Bank 1 is drivers side, Bank 2 is passenger side - and Sensor 1 is precat, Sensor 2 is post cat. The code will tell you which one it is. 02 codes always specify Bank __ Sensor__.

Don't buy any without posting the code first - could be a symptom of something else going on, for example the post-cat sensors monitor the efficiency of the cats...you may already know, just don't want you buying one you don't need.

The code discription does say bank 1 number 1, so that would be drivers side pre cat , is that right?

Yes, bank 1 sensor 1 is the precat sensor, driver's side.
