Default 225 heads or 205s

i have a 98 ls1 camaro i used to have a lt1 with lt4 heads i just got my ls1 . i want to build my car. should i build the block or should i just add the head and cam on stock block i also want to go later on down the road with ether TT or sts . is the 90mm the bigest intake
are afr heads the best heads? let me know thanks ..............

If you are going on stock cubes..i would go with the 205s.

stock cubes get the afr 205's. I plan on getting them sooner or later

What they said. 225's will hurt you more on low end then help. Then again. For later down the road. If your going to TT it then you need forged internals and then the 225's would help quite a bit. It really all depends on how soon all of this is goin to take place. Just my opinion, but either way, good luck

Listen to the fellas. I used to work there (AFR) and that's what they recommend themselves.

+1 205's you can put down a lot of power with some ported 205's and a nice cam....there is nothing wrong with that

well if you are going with a 408 block then go with 225's

a good performing h/c motor now....or a blower motor for later...

2 totally different engines...figure out which you want to do now...go from there.

what you build for a blower will hurt your N/A power. and vice versa.

the 225 will perform on the stock block. If you are planning on going with a new motor in 2 months or 3 years I would still go with the 225's.

For your current goals get the 205s, and make sure you mill them for extra compression
