Default Question about plug wires

I have a 2000 Trans Am I just bought and I am replacing the spark plugs for the first time with NGK TR55 plugs. What I was wondering is I was thinking about replacing the plug wires. Is it worth it to put the high performance MSD's or would I be better off to just go back with the stock ones. The reason I ask is the stock ones are $50 for the set and the MSD's are $130. Also would I even notice a difference with the MSD's?

I've seen the msd's for around 60-70 bucks on some of the sponsers pages you should shop around. No you will not tell any difference but they sure do look nice

I got a set of plugs put in with a new set of MSDs and it didn't cost me $100 installed. You seriously need to find you somebody else to work on your car.

$130 for MSD wires is a rip off.

You will not notice a difference with them, unless your stock wires were shot.

I gained 4whp when I switched from 7mm AC Delcos (8K old) to 8mm Crane FireWires (which are currently out of stock at Crane in case you're wondering).

Two hot pulls with the AC Delcos and then 2 hot pulls with the FireWires because I doubt my friend (who's my tuner) that they'd make more power. I was wrong.

I switched to MSD's after my Taylor wires ripped when changing my headers. The boots on the MSD's were way better at keeping the wire off the header.

So is it easier to change plugs on an LS1 vs. an LT1? I've changed them several times on my 93, but not my WS6.

LT1 plugs are easy. the LT1 wires are a pain in the *** period. LS1 wires are pretty easy. number 8 i had to do from the bottom. as for the plug, i got it from the bottom to, just had my brother guide the socket on. air tools kick ***!

Anyone ever use the Moroso Super 40's or whatever they are. the wires with the thick insulation on them? had them on a 383 once upon a time, didnt know how good they were for the ls1.
