04 LS1 wiring to 87 ElCamino Hi guys,
I'm new to LS1 Tech, and am glad you experiensed guys are out there. I have a 04 GTO LS1/automatic going into my 87 Caballero {ElCamino} and need help or guidence to help on the electrical connection. I know Painless has a $1,400 complete wiring harness including the computer, but that seems like over-kill. The engine is completely wired the way it came out of the car, and all of the wireing in the Caballero is intact. It seems to me the only wire connections needed would be the ignition, starter hot line, the gauges, fuel pump, air conditioning unit, heater, etc. Any help will be appreciated. Jon JJHwmp@aol.com
