1998 Firebird Formula
Hey guys I am considering buying a blue 1998 Firebird Formula with t-tops with 115,000 miles, but it has been well kept for $5,700? Is it a good deal or what is a good price for the car?

If its mechanically sound and looks good then hell yes its a deal. I picked up a 98 Formula w/ 122k on it for $5500 December 2006. It went 12.96 in the quarter mile! It has 133k on it now and still running strong, factory 4L60 too and zero slippage

You guys are making me feel like my car is low miles at 75K
As long as the car runs ok that's a great price. I have seen guys posting up here with 150-200K miles on thier LS1 motors. It's amazing how long these things last when taken care of. All it takes is three things:
1). Change the oil on time and every time.
2). Pay for the good stuff. Good gas and good oil will pay for itself in longevity.
3). Keep the revs reasonable. Don't try spinning your stock bottom end to 7K.
Other then that just a little TLC (several wot runs a week) and hopefully she lasts a long, long time. May the force be with the LS1 motor

Look it over really well and make you own decision. It is not a deal to write home about but it is certainly not over priced. It is about average. If it is nice without any major issues, and most of all, you like it, then go for it. I paid $3600 for my 98 Z28 with 120k in excellent condition other than the spoiler paint is faded and when we had the engine apart, the cylinder walls still had crosshatch marks and the bearings had minimal wear. We only pulled it apart to put heads and cam in it.

Sounds like a decent deal to me, as long as the rest of the car is in good shape.
Maybe offer him 5k and see what he says.
And don't forget, Formulas are relatively rare compared to Z28's, so they always sell for a bit more.
