Default Head Bolts

I was wondern if i can reuse my stock head bolts. I just got a set of heads done and really don't have the money to buy new head bolts but i will if i can't reuse these. Just wondern cause these have only been torqued down when this motor was built from the factory. Thanks,

Travis

I dont think your supposed to the stock bolts might be torque to yield meaning your only supposed to use them once. If your spraying it and all that stuff and making good power I guess I would recommend new bolts. Im sure more people will reply and let you know as well. Head torque seems to be pretty important otherwise I would say use the stock bolts.

Stock head bolts are torque yielded, so they cannot be reused. I'd recommend ARP Head studs.

those are alot more if you have the cash shure they are verry nice, but the better investment would be in header bolts that where I wish I had gotten studs I kick myself for not looking into them more now.

Thanks guys. When you put your stud kit in how hard was that? Did you put it in after the heads were on or could you drop them over the studs?
