Default headlight gear question

alright well i went ahead and replaced my headlight gear last weekend, and it did stop making the annoying grinding sound when it comes up... however, i have noticed now that the headlight does not come up at the same time as the other one, and when the one that has the new gear in it comes up now it seems to stall partially about halfway through before it comes all the way up...
i know im being picky with this, but i figure i might as well be so i dont have to replace another headlight gear... anyone have any idea of what to try to fix this? or could it just be due to the freezing cold weather making it act up or something?

i did grease the whole gear up with white lithium grease as well and tried to remove as much of the old dirty lube as possible... so its lubed up fine

Should have used black lithium grease hahaha! Sorry I'm in Alabama Anyways, I'm assuming you replaced both sides with the brass gears right?

Replace them with the brass gears and you should be good to go.

I would just go ahead and get it over with. $80 is a small price to pay for worry-free operation of headlights for years and years.
