Spin'em (not in water box) to clean them. Rev a little bit (1100-1200) to load rearend and go. You WILL spin on street tires. Some will need to be "feathered" as mentioned and some will hook before you spin thru 1st. What you don't want to do is spin thru 1st and shift to 2nd and bog because RPM's are not in the power band. Experiment and figure it out. Even outside temps will affect it if you you have summer rated tires. Just practice and you will learn. Just make sure no cops are around.LOL
Then it all boils down to how good thoses street radials are. When my car was stock it would murder a set of tires. So I recommend you just hold the brake pedal enough to load the rearend before you launch. You can start there. Thats why they call it test and tune day. You don't want to nail it from a dead stop or your rearend won't last.
Try a few different launch RPM and see what works best for the conditions that day. Don't get too nervous or worked up about your first time at the track. You have an A4, so you're pretty much guaranteed a respectable time.
Since you're on street tires, make sure not to go WOT off the line or you'll spin too much. Once you get out of the hole, keep the pedal at WOT for the rest of the run. The A4 makes the rest of the run a piece of cake.
Oh, and since it's your first time, make sure not to slam on the brakes after your pass. Ease into them and you'll have plenty of room to slow down for the exit.

Do your self a favor and get some drag radials, thats all I run 100% on the street and track, I can hook drag radials on stock suspension to a 1.49 60 ft. with around 550 rwhp, and thats with a hard shot of nitrous out of the hole. It will be your best investment and then you won't have to worry about spinning. They last quite awhile on the street to!
with a stock converter just leave right above idle and hit it prety hard to flash the conveter and then control the throtal through first.. wont make it much faster to try and hold it at the line its gona spin anyways.. nitto drag radials will do great on stock car
