Default 4 speed auto manual ?

I have a quick question if i used my 4 speed automatic as a 4 speed manual would it help my gas mileage?

Kinda random but i need better gas mileage.

Let your trans do what it wants, it is much smarter than us so it knows how to get the best performance and mpg, even when you are drag racing let it do what it wants.
If you want better mpg, try a tune up and change all fluids, all of them.

I'm going to take a guess and say no. The best way to save gas is keep from getting on it. I know its easier said then done but thats really the only way your going to save gas.

Ditto, that or buy another car. I came into the F-body scene expecting to shell out the extra bucks to feed her.

i came into the f-body scene expecting good gas millage (compared to my bronco glad that got totaled)

NO. Get a 6cyl car for everday. You can find'em pretty cheap.

just pretend theres an egg under the pedal...but a good tune up should help and fluid changes...

With the m5. Generally, you guys getting close to 30mpg on the highway with your LS1 and M6 get better MPG than I am with my V6 and A4

i wouldnt get a v6 car expecting a significant increase in fuel mileage lol.. it's a weaker engine pushing just as big of a car. even at cruise they dont see much better mileage than a ls1 m6 car if any.
